Mayu Kataoka

Mayu Kataoka is a Sydney based photographer, passionate about capturing the raw beauty of an Australian native plants- especially Eucalyptus and other native trees.


" I am so fascinated by the colours of the trees in Australia.  They are my inspiration for my photographic work.
I feel pure joy when I see those beautiful trees and their ever changing magical colours."


She has participated a number of group exhibitions in Sydney including solo exhibition in Blue Mountains.  Notably her photography was selected to join “The Kangaroo’s Visit Exhibition – Rome, Italy”  November 2014 where she exhibited 12 photos with other Australian artists.

Mayu's passion and goal is to highlight and show the extraordinary hidden beauty of wonderful trees and colours of Australia.

Midori Furze is a Japanese-born, Sydney-based contemporary artist. Her fascination towards literature and people gives her endless inspiration. She creates her dreams and concepts of love and music on her artwork. Her recent series is called "The Story of the Red String"

 

Midori has participated in numerous group exhibitions as well as a number of solo exhibitions. She has been selected for a resident artist at Warringah Creative Space, The Rocks Pop-up and Eramboo Artists Environment.

 

Midori works with event management agencies to design and produce unique origami products. She also run origami workshops for the local governments and corporate events, e.g. Powerhouse museum, Art Gallery of NSW & Japan Foundation Sydney. She has run several art projects with community for many years and her work in Australia was recognised and awarded by the Consulate General of Japan, Sydney in 2016.
